Our Work

Held from 15 to 17 June, the informal exchanges are mechanisms of the United Nations General Assembly designed to promote meetings in which, in light of the observations and conclusions presented in the Secretary-General’s report to the General Assembly, States provide their additional views and perspectives, focusing during this period on the issue of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and militarization.

On June 22, Dhesarme held another edition of Cine Dhesarme during an Introduction to Law class taught by Professor Gustavo Oliveira Vieira at the University of Latin American Integration (UNILA). The event focused on sexual violence in armed conflicts, with special emphasis on the Rwandan Genocide (1994).

Held between May and June of this year, the Introduction to Humanitarian Disarmament Course is a project that seeks to create a learning space on crucial topics for understanding the principles governing International Humanitarian Law and Humanitarian Disarmament, democratizing access to these discussions and emphasizing their relevance to the construction of societies grounded in a Culture of Peace.
